EUROMIX® 3300 SM 168 L from SBM at Erzberg

Since September 2017, a Europe-wide unique research centre for real-life underground mining has been created at Erzberg/Austria. The super mobile concrete mixing plant EUROMIX® 3300 demonstrates that excellent research and excellent concrete mixing plants make perfect partners.

With “ZaB – Zentrum am Berg (Centre on the Mountain)“ at the Styrian Erzberg the Austrian Montanuniversität Leoben (University Leoben for Mining, Metallurgy and Materials) is operating a Europe-wide unique research infrastructure for the construction and operation of underground mining plants. There are two parallel road tunnels, two parallel railway tunnels and one test tunnel. Laboratories, an explosion chamber and a centre to hold trainings and seminars complete the infrastructure for science, industry and emergency services. The owner has relied on the concrete producer MBK – Mobile Betonkonzepte (Mobile Concrete Concepts). As a long-term client of SBM the leading European mobile concrete producer has once again opted for the powerful plant EUROMIX® 3300.

Just-in-Time and 24/7
The EUROMIX® 3300 standing directly at the tunnel portal produces shotcrete and structural concrete just-in-time in 24/7 operation.“ Direct supply of the construction site is secured; the materials are delivered time-independently and without disturbing other traffic. Due to less lorry traffic and reduced Co2 emissions EUROMIX® 3300 has proven itself to be extremely profitable concerning economic and environmental aspects.
