From Demolition Waste to High-Quality Concrete

At steinexpo 2026, SBM Mineral Processing will, for the first time at the German quarry show, present three product areas together: mobile processing technology, mobile concrete mixing technology, and a high-performance crusher representing its expertise in plant engineering. At stand B105, the new REMAX 300 Max, the EUROMIX® 1600 NOVA mobile concrete mixing plant and the RHS 13/16/4 horizontal impact crusher will together demonstrate a fully integrated approach – from the economical processing of primary and secondary mineral raw materials to the production of high-quality concrete.

New value creation for the recycling sector

At the heart of SBM's trade show presence is a concept that opens up new opportunities, particularly for processing and recycling companies. Businesses already using mobile processing equipment for mineral construction waste can now take the next step and process recovered recycled aggregates directly into sustainable recycled concrete using a mobile mixing plant.

This creates additional value within their own operations. Instead of marketing processed aggregates solely as bulk material or road construction material, operators can – subject to the appropriate quality assurance – convert them into higher-value concrete products.

The combination of mobile crushing and screening technology with an innovative modular mixing plant opens up this market without the permanently tied-up infrastructure of a conventional stationary concrete plant. At the same time, the application is by no means limited to recycled concrete. The precise dosing and mixing technology of the EUROMIX® 1600 NOVA supports a wide range of mix designs – from standard concretes and liquid soils through to specialist and recycled concretes.

REMAX 300 Max: More screening performance in the 40-tonne class

With the REMAX 300 Max, SBM is presenting an upgraded version of its proven mobile impact crusher. The plant concept combines the REMAX 300's 1,100 mm impact crusher with a generously dimensioned single-deck add-on screen, of the kind normally seen only in the 50-tonne class.

With a screening area of 5.25 m², the add-on offers around 46 per cent more area than the standard REMAX 300 configuration. This significantly boosts production and screeining performance, especially with difficult-to-screen materials and fine end products. Typical applications include asphalt in the 0/8 and 0/22 fractions, recycled concrete 0/32, and high-quality chippings from gravel and natural stone.

The impact crusher handles feed sizes of up to 700 mm and achieves throughputs of up to 300 tph. Despite the larger screening unit, transport weight remains in the 40-tonne class at around 37.6 tonnes. The complete plant can still be transported on a 4-axle semi low-loader. In addition to the standard magnetic separator, a wide range of options is also available, including a pre-screen discharge conveyor, air classifier, belt scales, mains/generator changeover, LED light mast and refuelling pump.

The REMAX 300 Max also follows SBM's consistent diesel-electric "hybrid electrified" drive concept. The crusher, conveyors and screening components are all electrically driven. In autonomous operation, a diesel/generator unit supplies the necessary power, while the plant can alternatively be operated fully electrically via the plug-in option. This reduces fuel consumption, maintenance requirements and local emissions.

EUROMIX® 1600 NOVA: The direct route to your own concrete

The EUROMIX® 1600 NOVA forms the second key element of SBM's show concept. With a hardened concrete output of up to 80 m³/h, it is aimed at small and medium-sized construction sites, temporary production locations, and companies looking to enter concrete production with maximum flexibility.

The EUROMIX® 1600 NOVA demonstrates its strength as a versatile all-round mixing plant through its exceptional range of applications: whether mobile or stationary installation, whether for ready-mix concrete, precast products, specialist concretes or sustainable recycled concrete, it delivers reliably exactly where concrete is needed. At the same time, it combines an exceptionally generous space concept with a uniquely compact design, creating an economical solution for a wide variety of requirements – flexibly deployable, quickly available and highly capable in operation. The EUROMIX® 1600 NOVA is the compact all-rounder for maximum flexibility, reliable concrete quality and the direct route into proprietary concrete production.

At the heart of the plant is the BHS twin-shaft mixer DKX 1.67, with a hardened concrete output of 1.67 m³ per batch. The perfectly coordinated interaction of dosing and mixing technology, typical of SBM, ensures homogeneous mixing and reproducible concrete quality.

A major advantage lies in the mobile, modular design. The plant requires no permanent foundations and can be installed in a very short time on sufficiently solid ground. In most cases, a mobile crane and a small assembly team are enough to make the complete plant ready for operation within a single day. Standardised plug-and-play connections further simplify installation. Added to this are a newly developed SBM high-pressure cleaning system and a fully insulatable design for economical year-round operation.

High-quality processed recycled aggregates can be converted directly into concrete either at the operator's own site or on a project-specific basis at the construction site. Transport distances are reduced, regional material cycles are closed, and a greater share of added value remains with the operator.

RHS 13/16/4: Crushing technology for demanding primary stages

With the RHS 13/16/4 horizontal impact crusher, SBM is also demonstrating its expertise as a developer and supplier of high-quality individual machines and complete processing plants.

Weighing around 20.5 tonnes, the crusher is designed for the primary crushing of soft to hard natural stone. With feed capacities of 250 to 400 tph, it processes material up to a feed size class of 0/1,000 mm and achieves crushing ratios of up to 1:15. With the optional 3-row or 5-row grinding path, end products down to a particle size of 0/32 mm can be produced with excellent grain shape.

A robust disc rotor with four blow bars, multi-stage impact aprons and a wear-optimised design ensure high operational reliability and very efficient utilisation of wear parts. The hydraulically tilting upper housing also makes servicing easier.

How robust this concept is can be seen in current reference installations at well-known German building materials producers. Both at the modernised STORZ gravel plant in Neuhausen ob Eck and at the newly reconfigured Heidelberg Materials Mineralik plant in Nussloch, an RHS 13/16/4 impact crusher handles economical primary crushing. In both cases, the machines process several hundred tonnes of limestone per hour and form the basis for the downstream production of high-quality concrete aggregates and road construction materials.

Three technologies, one building materials cycle

With the REMAX 300 Max, the EUROMIX® 1600 NOVA and the RHS 13/16/4, SBM is presenting three different plant concepts at steinexpo, all united by one common goal: turning mineral raw materials and recycled materials into high-quality end products as economically as possible.

The mobile impact crusher stands for flexible processing and defined recycled aggregates. The mobile concrete mixing plant opens the direct route to higher-value downstream processing. Together, they represent a closed building materials cycle and maximum resource efficiency. The stationary horizontal impact crusher, meanwhile, underlines SBM's decades of process engineering expertise in plant construction.
